Back in 1942, The Kamber family bought about 225 acres in Wayne County, PA and created the Wayne County Country Club. This club wasn’t designed to be a traditional country club in suburban New York, but more like a place that would play host to families from the NY metropolitan area for week long stays at a time. In the good ole’ days, performers like the great Buddy Hackett graced the stage of the old social hall and guests included icons like Joe DiMaggio and Marylyn Monroe. In 1955, the property was bought and was transformed into the beautiful Tyler Hill campus we know today.
